Happening in Fulton: Threads of Heritage Celebrates Nigerian Art and Culture in Fulton County

Fulton County hosted Threads for Heritage, an exhibit that celebrates Nigerian art, culture, and collaboration led by Nigerian Artist and Textile Designer Mama Nike. This event marks about seven or eight months when Chairman Pitts invited me to a conversation and was sharing with me about Mama Nike who was so famous in Nigeria and we wanted to make sure that we brought her here to Fulton County and all the artists she supported. The comments today was she supported over 50,000 women and men artists; that's second to none. It's a mutual relationship bringing artists from Nigeria here as well as bringing our local artists and giving them an opportunity to have a platform in Nigeria.
